An invitation from mother mother:
Dear Awesome, Curious Parent,
Our stories are our wealth.
This is a truth I live and practice everyday as a dancing mother, and in all things Wildseed, our family learning lab. Each moment that we show up to the intense labors of nurturing wonderful worlds of learning for our children and our families, we are weaving together mighty stories about who we are and who we are becoming, about what we think we understand about humanity, the planet, and our universe, and what we are just beginning to dream into and imagine for our futures.
The stories we create through our daily living, our zest for constant discovery, our hopes and heartaches, and our willingness to walk along unchartered paths are shaping our lives, and could one day change the world. The beauty of these stories is that they add so much breath and nourishment to our lives right now. Our stories inspire, teach, heal, illuminate and do so much more. When we water our stories well, when we tend to them, and listen and sit deeply inside the brilliance of them, when we practice writing them down, recording them, and sharing them with others in creative ways—our stories can also sustain us.
I created Curious Seeds as a space for parents like us—parents who are raising learners in the wild, and who are moving away from the centering of sanctioned environments and standardized instruments of education. Curious Seeds is here for parents who not only want to learn and experiment with writing, archiving, and documenting tools that support vibrant, expansive story building, but who also believe in the power of their family’s unique story to reveal something essential and transformative to our global community.
This space flows mostly in soft-time, because we are all moving through our days and nights in the rhythms that work best for our families, and because as a mommy of 5, I know more than most that finding time for crafting stories, writing, and archiving my work is something I do in the varying pockets of time that are fluctuate dramatically hour by hour, minute by minute. Curious Seeds is a space where parents get to be gentle with themselves and their stories, where they can come as they are, and where they can move at their own pace as they build something beautiful.

Kinetic learners
Wildseed centers movement as essential to all learning. As a family of movers, dancers, capoeristas, runners, leapers, flippers, bikers, climbers, and spinners, kinetic learning is at the heart of all things Wildseed. In these years of experimenting with and exploring the ways her children learn, Mother Mother has been developing practices and resources to support other families, parents, caregivers, and educators in expanding their movement consciousness for the young people—and grown folks too!—in their world. The more we move, the more joy we activate, and the more we grow!
The energy, vision, and substance of Wildseed is sourced by Mother Mother’s dancing body brilliance, and much of her moments as a dancing mother happen inside of and alongside learning moments and activities with her children. Movement matters deeply to us and plays a vital role in all of our studies. Each family member brings a unique kinesthetic intelligence to our field of discovery, and we learn more about whatever it is we are exploring because we actively seek to connect to it through the movements happening in and around our bodies.
