Curious Seeds is a story building space for parents raising learners in the wild, lush, freedom of life as it is. This is a soft-time circle for parents deepening into their family’s stories of learning and systems of creation. Curious Seeds is for those who are realizing that their stories can help them document their learning practices, and also seed new possibilities for themselves and their communities.
The offerings in the Curious Seeds program are rooted in the Wildseed practices that Mother Mother and her family have been exploring and developing for over a decade. Dynamic stories, fun activities, stimulating resources and invitations are what we are growing here! We also invite curious friends to join a monthly virtual workshop for an introduction to the first element of the Curious Seeds’ story building methodology, story seeding and to enjoy thoughtfully-designed, soft-time practice maps for families to explore workshop delights in their own time.

Dear Awesome, Curious Parent,
Our stories are our wealth.
This is a truth I live and practice everyday as a dancing mother, and in all things Wildseed, our family learning lab. Each moment that we show up to the intense, dizzying labors of nurturing generative learning moments for our children and our families, we are weaving together mighty stories about who we are and who we are becoming, about what we think we understand about humanity, the planet, and our universe, and what we are just beginning to dream into and imagine for our futures.
The stories we create through our daily living, our continuous faith in discovery, our big hopes and tender heartaches, and our willingness to walk the unchartered paths—all of this matters and it is actively shaping our lives and our children’s lives. The choices we make when mapping out lessons, or sifting through library stacks, or coordinating activities, or researching the next project—these seemingly intimate labors for our family learning practices have a greater reach than what we can now see. Maybe something we devise in our family studies could one day, and maybe much sooner than we think, make the world a better place for all of us.
The beauty of our stories is that they add so much breath and nourishment to our lives right now. Our stories inspire, teach, heal, illuminate, evolve, and so much more. When we water our stories well, when we tend to them, and listen and sit deeply inside the brilliance of them, when we practice writing them down, recording them, and sharing them with others in thoughtful ways—our stories can also sustain us.
I created Curious Seeds as a creative play space for parents like us—parents who are raising learners in the wild, and who are moving away from the centering of sanctioned environments and standardized instruments of education. Curious Seeds is here for parents who not only want to learn and experiment with writing, archiving, and documenting tools that support vibrant, expansive story building, but who also believe in the power of their family’s unique story to reveal something essential and transformative about what is more possible for our collective human story.
Our Curious Seeds space flows mostly in soft-time, because we are all moving through our days and nights in the rhythms that work best for our families, and because, as a mommy of 5, I know that finding time for dancing, creating, story-tending, writing, and archiving is something I do in varying bits of time, magical pockets of possibility that fluctuate dramatically hour by hour, minute by minute. Curious Seeds is a space where parents get to be gentle with themselves and their stories, where they can come as they are—messy and tired, wondrous and whole—and where they are encouraged to move at their own pace as they build their amazing stories.

Looking for more support along your journey of discovering and building your family’s story? Request a private session or soft-time support with Mother Mother to explore the 4 core elements of the Curious Seeds Story Building Methodology in a personally guided tutorial workshop:
2-hour private tutorial workshop for an individual: $250
2-hour private workshop for a couple: $400
2-hour private workshop for a small group (maximum 10 people): $1000
1 week private soft-time support (via texts, emails, and voice notes): $300

To reserve a tutorial or soft-time support, send payment through the Giving Well for your selected program with Zelle, Cash App, or Venmo. Mother Mother will reach out to confirm receipt of payment, get clarity about what you want to explore in your tutorial, and set the best date with you to schedule your tutorial. Please allow at least 1 week from reserving your session to schedule your tutorial. Please allow 2 days from reserving and submitting payment for soft-time support for your program to begin.
